GENERAL INFORMATION

HUS Art Farm is a unique Auckland Wedding Venue and accommodation located only 30 minutes from downtown.

  • DYI Venue

  • Pick from our preferred supplier list.

  • Check in the day before.

  • You can assist in set up.

  • Get ready on site without worrying about getting to the venue on time.

  • Get married in the 10m by 12m gallery or on the 6x6 metre pond dock.

  • Take photos on the grounds which has some amazing content. Quaint bridges, flowing water, ponds with lillys, dramatic island, native bush, long grass and yes even horses by special arrangement.

  • Guests can relax on the lawns with games during photo session.

  • Have a sit down dinner or a relaxed grazing atmosphere for the guests.

  • On site parking for 45 cars.

  • Pop out for great breakfast at Black Cottage Cafe the morning after your special day. Highly recommended.

CEREMONY

The Pond Paddock has a purpose built 6 x 6 meter dock that sits right on the water with a decoration arch and a scenic forest back drop. Guests stand or sit on an all weather pebble surface during a special event in the paddock on the water edge.

We have a portable speaker for the ceremony and 3 songs over 1 hour.

GALLERY

The purpose built gallery space is approximately 10 x 12 meters. Due to it being all white it is the perfect blank canvas for an event planner.

We can accomodate up to 85 guests.

There are 2 lighting options. Dimmable continuous LED strips on the ceiling and/or bight white tube lighting which is not dimmable.

Acoustic ceiling panels and white acoustic curtains deaden the sound for quiet conversation.

Large air conditioning unit for winter and summer activity.

In house speaker and amp system.

Full height white sheers that are continuous around 3 walls.

TEA ROOM. This room can be used for a photo booth, gift table space or lounge space. This is also the only wheel chair access full bathroom. There is a side entrance for catering if need be.

Covered concrete patio out back connects to the bar and gallery.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

We have many unique space for photography with a rustic but modern interior, quaint bridges, flowing water, ponds with lillys, dramatic island, native bush, long grass and yes even horses by special arrangement.  Many of our professional photos were taken in autumn which has a beautiful warm glow due to the changing leaves.

BAR

The Bar downstairs which connects to the Gallery was once horse stables and the character still remains. We have great lighting, plenty of cupboard and mirrored storage, bar fridge, wine fridge and wash-up station.  The stable doors open up to a covered outdoor seating area which has great indoor outdoor flow.  

ACCOMMODATION

The accomodation is all up stairs with 6 bedrooms with 4 en suites.  Large open plan kitchen, open plan lounge and dining that opens up onto a covered deck.  READ MORE>

PARKING

An all season carpark is located in the bottom paddock below the venue. It can accomodate approximately 45 cars.  The top carpark is for pick up and drop off only.  There is to be no car parking on the street.

  • All the above is included when we supply the venue and grounds.

  • Access to forage for natural floral and fauna. Please put back in the bush for composing please. This is also in keeping with farm and stops plastics going into land fill.

  • Mowed grounds and special event area.

NOT INCLUDED

  • All 3rd party suppliers such as caterers for food and beverage, decoration and table and chairs.

  • BYO drinks with no corkage fee.

FREQUENTLY ANSWERED QUESTIONS

  • Yes you can use your own catering for beverage, food, tables and chairs.

  • Yes you can decorate.

  • Once music starts all external doors and windows except the BAR stable doors have to close.

  • We can be flexible with check in and check out if we do not have other guests back to back.

  • No fireworks due to stock and horses.

  • Parking is available in our parking lot only. Strictly no street parking or parking out front.

  • Only accomodation guests are allowed upstairs due to the wear and tear on wooden floors.

  • Wheel chair access bathroom downstairs only.

  • Yes you can have food trucks and bean bags on the lawn.

  • No marquees.

  • No helicopter landing.

  • Maximum guests 85

  • Functions end at 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. All guests vacated by 11.30 PM.
